Embark on a captivating 4-day adventure through the heart of Bolivia, where the enchanting landscapes of Lake Titicaca and the vibrant town of Copacabana await you. Immerse yourself in the rich tapestry of the Andean culture as you explore the mythical Island of the Sun, a place steeped in ancient legends and breathtaking vistas. Wander through traditional villages, where time seems to stand still, and witness the daily life of the indigenous communities.
The road to Copacabana will open the best views of the entire Andean Mountain Range.
The city tour will take you to the main church, which has a lot of history to admire; the local market, where you can witness the main activities of the people in the town; and finally the famous Copacabana calvary, where religious devotees leave offerings to their local deities and also catholic ones.
The journey takes about 1:30 hours to the south part of the island. It gives you perfect opportunity to contemplate the beautiful landscapes that the Sacred Lake has to offer.
Approx. one hour hike throught “Pilkokaina’’ and "Templo del Inca" archaeological sites, where you will learn a lot about the Inca culture and its ritualistica sites.
The hike to Yumani takes around 1 1/2 hours. It includes the visit o the "Escalera del Inca", "Fuente de la juventud" and "Templo del Sol" archaeological sites.
We leave by boat to Isla de la Luna, where we will visit "Templo de las virgenes" archaeological site and then we will have a typical andean lunch called Apthapi, prepared with local exquisite produce. After lunch we will hike to our accomodation, enjoying the beautiful sites this island has to offer.
After breakfast we leave by boat to Yampupata town, where we will take the bus to Copacabana where we will have some spare time for shopping and lunch.
