Day 1

We depart early from the city of La Paz towards Curahuara de Carangas. Here, we visit the chullpares, ancient Andean funerary towers, and the historic Sixtine Chapel dating back to 1606. We admire the uniqueness of its architecture and marvel at its history. Before continuing our journey, we have lunch and take a short rest. Later, we explore the captivating Qala Chua canyon with its unique spring and the opportunity for rock climbing. In the evening, we stay in the cozy village of Sajama, where we will enjoy the comfort of our local accommodations.

Day 2

we head early towards Laguna Huayña Khota, a lake located at the base of the Western Cordillera, where we can admire Andean wildlife amidst the breathtaking landscape. We'll also embark on a hike to one of the base camps of Mount Sajama, reaching up to 5,000 meters above sea level.

In the afternoon, we'll enjoy a well-deserved rest in the natural hot springs, nestled in the landscape offering an impressive view of Nevado Sajama. Afterward, we'll return to the village for dinner and spend the night there once again.

Day 3

After breakfast, we'll continue exploring the natural beauty of Sajama National Park. Our first stop will be at the geyser field, just a few minutes' drive from the city. Then, we'll visit the Macaya tombs, impressive colorfully painted funerary towers with fascinating stories. After our visit, we'll begin our return journey to La Paz, a 5-hour trip, enjoying the views along the way. We'll arrive in the city between 5:00 PM and 8:00 PM, depending on the traffic in El Alto.
